Specialist AI automation
for UK law firms
DataNorfolk Limited — registered in England & Wales (No. 08576932), based in North Walsham, Norfolk.
The background
UK AI Automation was founded in 2013 after several years building data pipelines and automation systems for financial services firms in the City of London. The starting observation was simple: highly skilled people were spending significant time on manual data work that could be automated precisely because it was well-defined and repetitive.
Over the years since, the work has shifted substantially toward AI-powered automation — using LLMs to extract and classify information from documents, building regulatory monitoring pipelines, and creating retrieval systems that make existing document stores genuinely usable. The tools have moved on considerably, but the underlying principle remains the same.
Today the practice works exclusively with UK law firms. These are organisations where the cost of skilled people's time is high, the volume of structured-but-unautomated document work is substantial, and the standards for accuracy, security, and data handling are appropriately demanding.
A paralegal spending two days extracting data from regulatory filings — or an associate trawling through a due diligence pack — neither of those need to be done by hand anymore. That time should be on the work that actually requires legal expertise.

What we commit to
You own the output
All extracted data, structured outputs, and integrations into your systems belong to you. We retain ownership of the source code and operate the pipeline on your behalf, with outputs delivered in standard formats.
Fixed prices
Every project is quoted at a fixed price before work starts. No hourly billing, no scope creep surprises. You know exactly what you're getting before you commit.
Direct access
You deal directly with the engineer. No account managers, no project managers, no handoffs. The person you brief is the person who builds it.
Honest scoping
If a workflow isn't a strong automation candidate, we'll say so before taking your money. An honest 30-minute conversation is worth more than a project that won't deliver value.
Security by default
GDPR compliance and information security are designed in from the start. We can work within your firm's existing security requirements and provide documentation for compliance review.
Fast delivery
Most projects are scoped, built, and delivered within 2–4 weeks. No lengthy onboarding processes, no methodology frameworks to navigate.
